Test it yourself. Plan a walk. Anywhere you want. A park, your neighborhood, downtown of a busy city. Ensure temperatures are above 70°F/21°C, or the Monarchs will be dormant. Take a 30 minute walk and count: 1) how many Monarchs you see and 2) how many Milkweed you see.

• If the answer to both is zero: you already have a serious decline, and it will not get better on its own, and the government can’t fix it for you.
• If you see Milkweed but no Monarchs: you might have a decline, and/or are about to reverse a decline.
• If you see Monarchs but no Milkweed, you are going to have a decline.

That’s why, if you love Monarch Butterflies, the first, best, and really ONLY answer is to… Plant More Milkweed!
