Germination Guide for Your Seeds

Time to Sprout

Expect to see your seeds sprout in 14-21 days when kept at a steady temperature of 65-70°F (18-21°C). If you’re planting Pleurisy Root, there’s an extra step: moisten the seeds, cover with plastic, and chill in the fridge at 40-50°F (4-10°C) for 7-14 days. Once stratified, bring your seeds to a warmer spot to kickstart germination.

Planting Instructions

Starting Indoors (Recommended):

Begin 7-9 weeks before your area’s last frost. Plant your seeds 1/4″ deep in a seed starter mix. They’ll start forming a taproot right after germinating. Keep an eye on them – you don’t want them to get pot bound. If they do, they’ll decline quickly. Around 3-5 weeks after planting, transfer them to bigger cell packs or 3-4″ pots. When the risk of frost has passed, harden them off and move them outdoors.

Direct Sowing:

You have options here! Direct sow in the fall or wait until spring. Whatever suits your garden schedule!
